There are indeed at least 7 ropes aboard a Navy Ship.
Yes, most are referred to lines however the following are traditionally called ropes:

Head, Hand and Foot Ropes (Now known as lifelines)
Bell Rope (Indeed the lanyard seized to the clapper but bell rope nonetheless)
Man Ropes (Also known as Monkey lines, found on the boat davits)
Buoy Rope - for mooring to a buoy
Dip Rope - for dipping the anchor
One could argue that the wire rope might be included in this list as well as bolt rope and perhaps tiller rope.

However what were the odds of hitting the three Somali pirates with three single shots by three different snipers crouched on the deck of a moving ship aiming through the conopy window of a bobbing craft. what would have happened if one of the three pirates survived the shot? Also how could the pirate vessel reach the Somali shore if it was being towed by the Navy ship?
While with the amphibs off Nam, we had Seals on board so I know a little about them and their training. Just like the Army Rangers they (Seals) were good but not perfect. A few of them did not make it back home.

Can you get a government security clearance with bad credit?

Very very bad credit. But it’s just a basic, low level clearance in question. If you are honest about all the items outstanding, and commit to having it paid by a certain date, will they consider it? the job is loading ammunition onto a navy ship. Naval Base.
Do people with bad credit ever get security clearances? Is there even a possibility?

It was first a destroyer (DE 673) then converted to a different kind of Ship, Same name but Different numbers (APD 74)

I heard that certain MOS get to be on land, like M.A(military police).
If i were to be in the medical field, would I most likely be put on a ship or would I have a chance at being on land?

I just finished MEPS this weekend, but failed the Depth Perception test, so although my ASVAB scores are great, I knocked out alot of cool jobs. Is it possible to switch to Navy before I ship out?

i just joined the navy i ship out for boot camp in about a month.
then i have to go to A school .after that i come home. by the way im in the reserves.i go to school full time and i want to know what kind of job can I get with my military training or just what kind of job in general ……

What would be the best navy job for me given my current situation?

Originally i wanted to go to BUD/S but do to my citizenship statues i have to wait it out in the navy for a year before i can make it to BUD/S. In the mean time what would be the best navy job for me to take up? I enjoy working out, running, swimming, push-ups, and all that fun stuff. I like a physically demanding job. I scored a 42 on the asvab. I would really appreciate it if i didnt have to set foot on a navy ship to leave for the first year of being in the navy. Becaue i want to go to BUD/S but at the same time the first year i have to get my citizenship but i dont want to be out at sea for that situation. If i have to leave out to sea no problem but my first secondary goal would be for me not have to set foot on a navy ship for that year of earning my citizenship. So can any experinced people give me a suggestion for a job to pick.
