other than flying and spec ops . i was thinking about pursuing a degree in enginnering and become a civil enginner officer.

can someone give me more detail on a civil enginnering job in the navy (for officers) i just got a NROTC schlorship for next year at Auburn

Would I most likely be stationed on a ship in the Navy with this degree (as an officer)? Do they have any need for a land-based meteorologist? I would **** to spend the next twenty years of my life at sea.

Would kind of job would I have in the Air Force? I would think that the air traffic controllers would be enlisted instead of officers.

I am enlisting into the Navy and I want to become an MP but i am nervous. What kind of training do you have to go through. Is it very intense or vigorous, do you have to be extremely fit, do you have to be really smart and what is an average job that an MP would do. Please answer only if you are sure it’s very important to me.

My boyfriend is still in bootcamp and is going to “A” school in December at the great lakes to become a mechanical engineer. i read online that your job and rate will depend on how much your on the ship and if you be on shore or sea duty. Can anyone tell me what jobs fall into shore duty? If your mechanical engineer can you just work in the shipyard? Ive read that some people never even go on the ship is that true?

My Husband got laid off work today from a job he absolutely loved. Great money and hours. He worked so hard to get it. The company laid off over 250 people today. His boss and coworkers are very upset that he is leaving.

Him and I have been very upset the last few days because we knew it was coming.

Tonight he walks into the house carrying his lunch box and a huge bouquet of flowers and roses. (He doesn’t buy flowers a lot)
I laughed and said “Wow did you have a good day at work today?”
He smiles and gives me a hug.

So tell me, does a person’s outlook on life make you happy
or
do you need a smooth sailing ship make a you happy?

I worked for a company that shipped defective fuel line brackets to Boeing. My reward for exposing this was a beating and the loss of my job. How many people would risk their jobs to do the right thing.

I just joined the national guard and some of my job choices were power generator mechanic, heating and ac and interior electricion. Is there less of a chance of me going over seas with a job like that opposed to a job like infantry? Im really not trying to go over seas because i got my son to take care of. I dont even ship to basic until june of 2009. Im just trying to see what the chances of me going to iraq are and if i did would i be in the line of fire?

Very very bad credit. But it’s just a basic, low level clearance in question. If you are honest about all the items outstanding, and commit to having it paid by a certain date, will they consider it? the job is loading ammunition onto a navy ship. Naval Base.
Do people with bad credit ever get security clearances? Is there even a possibility?

I’m 14. I don’t normally ask these questions but…
last night I had a really strange dream.(its pretty long, so sit tight I don’t know where it started off, but basically, I was “captured” by these “bad” people. Everything was kind of like in a video game, but it was no where near the few that I play (haven’t played any in weeks)
Anyway, I don’t remember much of the beginning, only that I was with my older, and younger brother. we were in this cave thing, with a lot of other people who i don’t know. Basically, after a while the cave wall opened and we all ran out. I don’t remember what happens after, but eventually we get to this place where, there’s a ship in the water that looks pretty big in front of us, but its actualy pretty small.My younger brother is no longer in the picture, and instead its just me and my older brother (18). were on skis because there’s some snow on the ground.
Our goal, is to rid the ship off all the “bad” things, so we can save it. I’m not 100% sure, but I think the ship was haunted or something and the “people” are really ghost, in blackish blue armor, but you can still kill them.
Anyway, my brother and I both take different directions, once we enter the ship, to get the job done faster. I go right, he goes left. These bad guys are each in a little crevis. And they are protecting a girl behind each one of them. All of these kids are the same. They have long dark brown hair, and are wearing a pink t-shirt with black pants. they all have the same expresion on their face. Its blank, with no emotion.
So i start killing these guys in the armor, and then the kids behind them. These bad guys are all seperate, meaning that I only kill one at a time, before moving on to where the next one is. It dosent take us long, not even a minute. I kill 3 bad guys, and 3 of the kids, by brakeing their necks, all the way back. (grusome, I know). when I’m done, I go up to the top of the ship, where I see a bunch of the kids, all huddled together. I kill 2, but then leave the rest, and go up a small ladder that only has 4 rungs, to the very top which is a very small rectanglure platform. I meet my brother, and tell him that I killed the kids, and the bad guys, and he tells me that i wasnt supposed to kill the kids. We were trying to help them.
I feel so terrible, and I look down to where all the children are gathered, and they all (with blank faces, and no emotion) start to crowd around the one I killed. They cuddle up to them, and hug them, and look almost sad, and willing them to get back up. I feel so guilty, and so terrible, that i want to do the whole thing over again, and not kill them. Then, out of nowhere, where back at the begining again, and we are on skis, and just going into the ship. I think what happened is i got another life, and I was able to start over, becuase I’m in a video game. This time, I made sure I didnt kill the kids, and I didnt kill a single one.
My brother and I are back on the platform at the very top, all the kids are huddled just below us. We have to get off the ship fast for some reason. The ship is right beside the gound, so we step over the side, and onto the ground. Then we turn back around, and all the children are on the small little platform, that we just left a second ago, but the platform and the kids have become so tiny, that I could fit at least 20,in the palm of my hand, along with this platform Then my Grandpa’s spirit comes floting over to us. BTW, my grandpa in real life is not dead, and it wasnt REALLY him, it was Ian Mckellen, who I think kind of looks like my grandpa.
Anyway, he comes floating over, and says something like “thank you, you did a great job” and he goes over, and sits right in the middle, kind of on top of some of the kids. I turn my head for a second, to look over my shoulder, and call my brother over, but when i turn back, I cant see him anymore, but I know hes in there protecting the kids. I turn around to talk to someone for another second, and when i turn back, this black stuff is all over this little box (which was the platform) and the only spot without the black stuff, is the place where saw my grandpa (Ian) sit down. I knew tho, that it was only a matter of mintes before it to, was covered in black.
I’m not sure, but I think I kind of felt content at that moment, and then I woke up.
I dont know why, but for some reason, I know that this dream means something, I just dont know what.
Any ideas??

Can someone help me with working on a cruise ship?

I have already been hired and would leave within the next week but have some doubts. The job that I will be doing is called the “Utility Gallery”. I am American.

Can someone tell me what this job is about and if you think a 4 month contract with Norweigen Cruise Lines is worth it?
